Green Thumb is my personal short film I worked on my final year during my time at the Art Institute of Portland. The story follows a little witch in training, who loves to garden. Conceptually the story developed fairly fast, One of my colleagues created a cute illustration of balloons in a mason jar, and we thought of various ways they were harvested... Eventually Ellie a young witch was born!
Once the ball got rolling I had two friends who helped me animate, color and develop concepts. Production was fun, we used traditional animation and colored it in Photoshop, to create a childish look to add a innocence to the look.
Overall, I am very happy to have a short film I created complete. Here on this page I have some of the original concept art, and look development.
